We introduce the residence of Nomura Denbei Ei Nobusada, which was built around the residence of Maeda Toshima about 400 years ago. Artworks such as armor and swords passed down from the Nomura family, a samurai family, are on display, and various contents are prepared so that visitors can experience the lifestyle of samurai during the Edo period and learn about history.

Meet the life of a warrior during the Edo period
Visit the only public building and garden in the Nagamachi Samurai neighborhood! This is the residence of Ei Nobusada, Tenbei Nomura, who served the residence of Toshima Maeda, the lord of the Kaga Domain, about 400 years ago. When you look at the courtyard from the hallway, you will feel as if you have traveled to the samurai era. Artwork such as armor and swords handed down from the Nomura family are also on display.
Introduction to major attractions inside
The Samurai Nomura Residence preserves the traditional architectural style and structure of a samurai house from the Edo period. Additionally, various historical materials showing the life and culture of samurai during the Edo period are currently on display through various exhibitions. You can also experience various experience programs such as taking pictures wearing Edo period warrior costumes, sword fighting experience, and tea ceremony experience.
