BESTIt was a rainy week when we went, but thanks to the purchase of a flex open ticket, we were able to pick a clear day and watch the sunset! I recommend it
Essential Course in the USA,
New York's best observation decks
Come see the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center, which is famous as the second highest observatory in New York City, along with the Empire State Building Observation Deck. The Top of the Rock Observation Deck is located on the 67th, 69th, and 70th floors of Rockefeller Center, and is a must-see observatory because it offers a view of the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, and more.
Rockefeller Center, the symbol of New York,
And the Top of the Rock Observation Deck
Top of the Rock is one of the most famous observation decks in New York, located on the 70th floor of the Rockefeller Center, a building built in the Art Deco style. It is a magnificent and large-scale observation deck that resembles the deck of a cruise ship.
The Top of the Rock observation deck offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the New York metropolis, stretching from Central Park to the Empire State Building and the concrete skyline. It’s the backdrop for the famous photo of workers eating on steel beams, so be sure to take in the romantic view.
Why We Should Go to Top of the Rock
There are many observatories in New York, but the reason we must go to Top of the Rock is because you can see the unobstructed, unobstructed view from the rooftop. Especially during the magic hour, sunset, you can see the beautiful Empire State Building reflected in the sunset from Top of the Rock.
Another reason I recommend Top of the Rock is that it is located in the heart of Manhattan, offering the best views.
Enter comfortably at the designated time
The most popular observatory in the world, Top of the Rock Observatory! Because so many people visit, it is almost impossible to enter without a reservation. That is why I recommend making a reservation in advance at Wag. Wag’s timed admission ticket is a ticket that allows you to enter right away at the time you reserved, and you can enter conveniently with a mobile voucher.
Introducing the observation decks on each floor with different charms
The Top of the Rock observation deck has three floors.
67th floor observatory
It has a spacious indoor space and outdoor terraces on both the north and south sides.
The 67th floor observatory is popular in winter.
69th floor observatory
If you take the escalator up to the 67th floor observation deck, you will find a larger outdoor terrace.
It's open, but there's a glass window in the Anzen fence.
70th floor observatory
You will enjoy a completely open view without any fences.
The most popular 70 floors
Night at the Top of the Rock Observatory! The view of New York is so beautiful that it is hard to describe in words. I highly recommend seeing this amazing view from the wide-open 70th floor observatory. Of course, the 67th and 69th floor observatories are also great, but the view from the wide-open rooftop is much more romantic than looking through the glass.
And the most popular photo spot is the one with the Empire State Building in front of it, so please take note of this in advance!
From sunset to night view
The Top of the Rock Observation Deck is always popular, but it is especially popular around 5pm and 6pm. People come at this time to get a good seat on the 70th floor rooftop and watch the sunset and night view. I recommend going at the same time as the magic hour rather than going at other times because there are a lot of people.
A visit to Top of the Rock is not an option, it’s a must when you’re visiting New York. Get discounted admission tickets from WAG and be sure to enjoy the amazing views of New York!
