The Hunter Valley hot air balloon experience is known as the most unique experience in Sydney as you can see the endless wineries unfolding along with the fantastic sunrise of the Hunter Valley.
Enjoy stunning views of the vineyards, farmlands and mountains of the lower Hunter Valley from 600 meters above your feet from a vantage point like no other!

A completely new experience in the Hunter Valley! The hot air balloon experience proceeds in the following order.
1. Arrival:
When you arrive at Peterson House, located on the corner of Wine Country Drive and Broke Road in Pokolbin, about an hour before sunrise, you will be greeted by the Hunter Valley Ballooning team.
2. Preparation for departure:
There are over 12 departure points in the Hunter Valley, and we'll pick the one that best suits the conditions that morning.
There will be a safety demonstration on site so all you have to do is get ready to start flying.
3. Flight:
Fly over the vineyards and countryside of the lower Hunter Valley for 45-60 minutes.
You can watch the sunrise as it rises more than 2,000 feet above the valley floor.
4. Breakfast:
After your flight, return to Peterson House and enjoy a delicious sparkling wine breakfast at Restaurant Cuvee.

What to Remember
- Children under 7 years old or under 130cm tall are not permitted to participate in this activity. Please keep this in mind before making a reservation.
- The hot air balloon can accommodate up to 24 people.
- People with recent surgery or back, leg, knee, hip or lower back injuries are not recommended to participate.
- Breakfast menu may change without prior notice.
- In case of bad weather such as a typhoon or snowstorm, the availability of the tour will be determined one day prior to departure (00:00 local time) and you will be notified via email.
- People with heart disease, high blood pressure, fear of heights, or pregnant women are not permitted to participate.
- Please arrive at the designated location 30 minutes in advance to avoid any disruption to your schedule. We will not wait for you if you are late.
- During hot air balloon flight, water mixed with coal will drip from the burner, so dark-colored clothing is recommended.
- If you are arriving at the meeting point by private transport, we recommend arriving 1 day in advance as Cessnock is 5-10 minutes away from the meeting point.
- There is free parking at the meeting point, but parking space may be limited.
- The company is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of personal items, so please always take good care of your belongings.
