This is a great way to see places you haven't been to yet at the end of your vacation. You'll also have the chance to learn about Phu Quoc's history from your guide. Of course, there's shopping. A tip: if you're not interested in pearls after visiting the pearl factory, head straight to the beach behind. It's an unexpected viewpoint. If you have time to spare, take a five-minute walk to the right from where you ate. You'll find Highland Coffee, known for its stunning views in Vietnam. Looking at it positively, this is an absolutely cost-effective tour.

I signed up for a day tour because there was no transportation to get around southern Phu Quoc. It was okay, but I went to the shopping center too often. The guide was kind and nice!

This was the southern day tour I was most looking forward to during my Phu Quoc trip, and I absolutely loved it! 🤩 They picked me up at my accommodation early in the morning, making for a comfortable journey. Sao Beach, our first stop, is the most memorable. The sand was so beautiful and lovely. Sunset Town had a European feel, making me wonder if I was really in Phu Quoc. I took the most photos there. The guide was also very kind and attentive, making it a truly satisfying day.

It was my first trip to Phu Quoc and I booked a southern tour with Wag. The guide was English speaking, but he explained things carefully and I felt at ease. The first beach we went to was Sao Beach, which was just as beautiful as the white sand beach I had seen in the photos. I was surprised to find out that there was a beach like this in Vietnam. Our next stop was Coconut Prison, where the content was a bit heavy, but it was a valuable opportunity to learn about history. We went to the last place, Sunset Town, at dusk, so the atmosphere was very romantic and we were able to relax at the cafe, so I'm glad I made a reservation through Wag. The bus ride was comfortable and we were able to get around to many different places efficiently, so I was very satisfied.

Coconut Prison
Coconut Prison is a former prison used by the US military during the Vietnam War in 1967 to imprison and torture Vietnamese soldiers and politicians. It has the official name 'Phu Quoc Prison', but it is called 'Coconut Prison' because it is said that prisoners in the past tried to escape by digging tunnels with coconut shells.
Wax figures recreating the harsh torture scenes inflicted on Vietnamese soldiers are on display here, allowing you to get a glimpse into Vietnam's war history.
