The intact city walls of Xi'an
Since Xi'an was the capital of the Tang Dynasty, the Xi'an City Wall was built to protect Xi'an as a military stronghold. Xi'an's ancient city wall is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China.
It was able to survive until now because it was built using bricks and stones to withstand strong external pressure, and because it was possible to keep watch with observation towers and towers built at each corner. Walk along the wall and enjoy the beautiful night view when the lights come on at night.

History of Reconstruction
The current Xi'an city wall is different from the original city wall. During the Tang Dynasty, the city wall was built with wood and mud, but it was damaged by natural disasters and wars. Later, during the Ming Dynasty, the city wall was built more firmly to strengthen the city defense system, and this is the current Xi'an city wall.
