Meet Skytree!

Completed in 2016, Skytree is the first new landmark to open in 100 years since the tower. At a staggering 634 meters, Skytree boasts the world's second-tallest free-standing broadcasting tower.

Skytree was named after the meaning of 'a large tree reaching toward the sky', and is well known to have been designed by the best sculptor, Kiichi Sumikawa.

Skytree has observation decks at 350 meters and 450 meters, and on clear days, the observatories offer views as far as 75 kilometers away, including Mount Fuji. And at night, the sparkling nightscape makes it a must-see.

Take a walk along the Sky View Corridor

The most famous feature of Skytree is the observation deck located at the 450-meter Tembo Corridor. The observation deck is a glass-encased corridor that extends along a slope, giving you the feeling of taking a stroll through the air. So, even if it's worth the extra money, I highly recommend visiting the 450-meter observation deck.

As you move along the observation corridor, you will reach the highest point at 451.2m.

The highest point is a space created as shown in the photo above. The geometrically rounded shape created by light and glass creates a mystical feeling. The unique sense of space, the sense of floating, and the sculptural design, inspired by the round Earth, make this a truly beautiful place.
