This was a very fun and worthwhile tour. The locations we visited were lovely outside of Porto. The boat ride was fun, the wine was great and the winery stop was interesting. Miguel, our guide, was hilarious and great at engaging everyone and making a great environment. It was all organized very well. I would say my expectations were exceeded.

O lanche em Amarante foi bem ruim. Poderia passar e deixar o tempo livre para conhecer a cidade que é muito charmosa

Highlights

As the gentle morning sun spills over the streets near the Trindade Domus Shopping Center in Porto, a charming journey begins towards the beautiful Douro Valley and the serene town of Amarante. The 'Porto Departure: Douro Valley & Amarante Wine Tour' is an immersive cultural experience that allows you to deeply savor the essence and gastronomy of Northern Portugal in a single day. Traverse the scenic N222 coastal road, admire the terraced vineyards, enjoy a delightful tapas spread on a private boat, and taste the sweet Vinho Verde wine.

Program

Embark on a Douro Valley & Amarante Wine Tour by Luxury Minivan

Step into a luxury minivan and journey through picturesque landscapes to a grand Douro winery (Quinta). Here, you'll be welcomed with a cellar tour steeped in history and a tasting of the finest, meticulously aged Port wine. Afterward, glide along the tranquil Douro River on a private cruise from Pinhão. As you sip sparkling wine and savor authentic 'Bolo de Carne' (meat pie) and golden 'Pastel de Nata', you'll feel a sense of pure wonder and childlike excitement, reminiscent of dreams from childhood nights spent reading fairy tales.

Arrive in Amarante, a city of love and art, and wander through the historic Church of São Gonçalo. Indulge in delightful local pastries and refreshing Vinho Verde (Green Wine). Engage in warm conversations at a traditional tasca (local tavern) in the old town, melting away the day's worries and creating cherished memories of this cozy and fulfilling day in Porto.
