Meet your guide in Seoul and travel to Paju, where the DMZ is located. During the journey, your guide will share stories about the Korean War and the division of the Koreas, providing context for the sites you'll visit.

First, visit Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park to see remnants of the division's history, such as Mangbaedan and the Bridge of Freedom. Afterward, proceed to the DMZ to visit key landmarks like the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Observatory.

Walk Through the 3rd Tunnel and Dora Observatory

The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, discovered in 1978, was dug by North Korea as a means of invasion. Walking through its interior offers a tangible experience of the military tension and division history on the Korean Peninsula. Be prepared for some steep sections and a considerable walk; comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

Next, head to Dora Observatory. From here, you can gaze towards North Korea across the DMZ. On clear days, telescopes allow for a closer look at the North Korean landscape.


Enjoy the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge Too

If you've selected the suspension bridge option, you'll proceed to the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge after your DMZ tour. Walking across this bridge, suspended between mountains and valleys, offers a different perspective of Paju's natural beauty, distinct from the DMZ.

The Gamaksan area also holds historical significance related to battles involving British forces during the Korean War. Your guide will share these stories, enriching your understanding of the region. The tour concludes with your return to Seoul, typically ending in the Myeongdong or City Hall areas.
