Rocinha Favela Walking Tour with a Local Guide in Rio de Janeiro

Walk Through Rocinha with a Local Guide

Meet your guide at the designated meeting point and head into the Rocinha favela to begin your walking tour. With a guide who knows the area well, you'll explore the alleys and encounter the daily life of Rio de Janeiro that is not easily accessible from tourist spots. This tour goes beyond just sightseeing; it offers a chance to see Rio from a new perspective by hearing stories about the people who live in Rocinha and the changes in the community.

Understand Rocinha's Daily Life and Community

As you walk with your guide, learn about the favela's lifestyle, culture, education, and the various challenges faced by the community. The tour respects the residents' living spaces, focusing on understanding the area rather than viewing the favela as a sensational tourist attraction.

A portion of the tour cost is reinvested into the community, supporting activities for local residents.

Choose Your Preferred Time and Option

You can choose between morning or afternoon tours to fit your travel schedule. Some time slots depart from designated hotels in Copacabana or Ipanema, while other options start from a designated location in São Conrado.

There are also tour options that include drone footage, allowing you to capture your travel moments in a more special way.
