Highlights

Explore Christiansborg Palace (Christiansborg Palace), where you can encounter the history of the Danish royal family and politics all in one place. Admire the magnificent Throne Room, Great Hall, and the Queen's Tapestries, and explore the Royal Stables, the Royal Kitchen, and the ancient ruins beneath the palace. This is a special space that still houses the Danish Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Supreme Court, making it highly recommended for travelers who want to delve deep into Copenhagen's royal history.

Program

Step into the Danish Royal Realm

Freely explore Christiansborg Palace, located on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen. Today, the palace serves as the center of Danish politics and is also used by the royal family for official events and receptions. In the Royal Reception Rooms, you'll find the Throne Room and the grand Great Hall. The magnificent tapestries adorning the Great Hall are a must-see.

Discover the Royal Stables and Kitchen

Beyond the opulent palace interiors, you can also visit the Royal Stables and the Royal Kitchen. From the royal carriages and equestrian culture to the spaces where banquets were prepared, discover another facet of the palace. Explore various royal spaces, including the Palace Chapel, to understand how Christiansborg Palace has been utilized throughout history.

Uncover Ancient Ruins Beneath the Palace

Beneath Christiansborg Palace lie the remnants of the castle and palace that once stood on this site. Explore The Ruins to encounter the history of Slotsholmen, dating back before the current palace. The present Christiansborg Palace was rebuilt in the early 20th century after previous palaces were destroyed by fire. Experience the splendor of the royal spaces above ground and the traces of old Copenhagen beneath your feet.
