Frederiksborg Castle Ticket in Hillerød

Frederiksborg Castle is huge and beautiful! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen. There are so many rooms to view and the garden was stunning. We spent at least 3 hours in the castle and was not even enough to see everything. The Hilerod Square was also lovely with lots of restaurants to choose for lunch. We took the train from Norreport to Hilerod for around $10 each way. You can buy the tickets at 7-Eleven to avoid the hassle for credit card asking for Pin code. The entrance fee to the castle is absolutely worth it.

Visiting Frederiksborg Castle was one of the highlights of my trip to Copenhagen . The castle is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by water, beautiful gardens, and an atmosphere that makes you feel as if you have stepped into another time. The architecture and interiors are incredibly impressive, with so many beautiful details, paintings, portraits, and historic rooms to discover. Walking through the castle feels like travelling through centuries of Danish history, while the peaceful gardens offer the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. What I loved most was the combination of history, architecture, art, and nature. Every room seems to have its own story, and every view of the castle is picture-perfect. Frederiksborg Castle is definitely a place worth visiting, not only to admire its beauty, but also to experience a little piece of Denmark’s fascinating history. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Denmark.
