From the Sky Tower observation deck, you can admire a panoramic vista stretching across Auckland's city center, Waitematā Harbour, and the surrounding areas. Combined with the SkyRide, which travels along the tower's exterior, you can enjoy the Sky Tower in a way unlike any ordinary observation deck.

Ascend to 192m and Descend Rapidly

Once you're safely harnessed and seated, the SkyRide begins its ascent along the tower's exterior wall at speeds of up to approximately 6 meters per second.

As you rise to a height of about 192 meters, take in the views of Waitematā Harbour, Westhaven Marina, Auckland's volcanic fields, and the distant Waitākere Ranges. After a brief pause at the top to overlook Auckland, you'll experience another thrill as you descend rapidly. The entire SkyRide experience lasts for approximately 90 seconds.
