Drive an ATV or UTV yourself for 2 hours in the Nellis Dunes desert, about 20 minutes by car from the Las Vegas Strip. This is not a guided tour: after a safety briefing and a practice ride, you explore sandy trails and dunes freely at your own pace. Choose a single-seat ATV for a solo thrill, or a 2- to 4-seat UTV to ride with friends or family. No prior experience is needed, and safety gear such as a helmet, goggles and a face mask is provided.

Get ready with a safety briefing
and a practice ride

After checking in at the rental facility, you receive the safety gear you need, including a helmet, goggles and a face mask. Staff give you a mandatory safety briefing, and you take a practice ride to get comfortable with the vehicle before heading out to the trails.

Ride the Nellis Dunes desert trails at your own pace

Once you are ready, ride freely for 2 hours across sandy tracks, rolling dunes and wide-open desert scenery. It is a self-drive experience rather than a guided tour, so you can explore the terrain at the speed you like, while on-site staff provide support and safety. You can stop several times along the way to take photos and enjoy the views, and you may even spot local desert wildlife.

Choose a single-seat ATV or a 2- to 4-seat UTV

Pick the single-seat ATV for a solo thrill, or a UTV option that matches your group size (2, 3 or 4 riders) to ride together with friends or family. Complimentary water is provided during the ride, and gloves, SPY breakaway goggles, souvenir neck gaiters and small lockers can be purchased on site.
