From New York: Boston & Cambridge Day Tour - MIT Campus Visit

Depart from Times Square and
see Boston and Cambridge in one day

Depart from Times Square in Manhattan at around 5:50 AM. Travel through Connecticut into Massachusetts, with a stop of about 30 minutes for breakfast and restrooms on the way. Your guide accompanies you in English or Spanish, depending on the option you booked.

Walk Copley Square and Back Bay

Your first stop in Boston is Copley Square, a public square in the Back Bay neighborhood. See the Boston Public Library, the Romanesque Trinity Church, the John Hancock Tower and the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, where you can step into the entrance lobby for photos. You will also see the square's fountain and its famous Tortoise and Hare sculpture.

Continue past the Christian Science Church, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Berklee College of Music, then get off on Commonwealth Avenue for a short walk. This is the narrowest section of the Emerald Necklace, Boston's chain of parks.

Walk the MIT and Harvard campuses

Cross the Charles River to Cambridge and explore the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus with time for photos (about 15 minutes). At Harvard University, spend about 40 minutes strolling Harvard Yard and taking photos with the John Harvard Statue.

Pass Beacon Hill and the Freedom Trail,
then finish at Quincy Market

Back in Boston, see the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood and the Massachusetts State House, then walk part of the Freedom Trail, which links 16 sites that symbolize the founding of the nation. Pass the Boston Massacre site and arrive at Quincy Market for about 1 hour of free time for lunch, shopping and street art. After a rest stop on the way, return to Times Square in New York.
