San Diego Bay Luxury Sailing Tour - Max 6 Guests

Head out on San Diego Bay
in a 40-foot yacht from Shelter Island

After checking in at the Sail San Diego office on Shelter Island, board a modern 40-foot sailing yacht. A US Coast Guard (USCG) certified captain sails the boat, and you sail for about 3 hours in a small group of up to 6 guests. Choose between a day sail and a sunset sail.

Sail past the USS Midway and Point Loma Lighthouse

Pass San Diego Bay highlights from the water, including the Maritime Museum, the USS Midway, the Star of India, downtown San Diego, Coronado Island, and the Point Loma lighthouse. You can also watch planes at San Diego International Airport and huge naval ships.

This is not a guided tour, but the captain is always happy to share what they know about the sights. You may also sail along the Southern California coast toward the Pacific.

Look out for sea lions and dolphins

With luck, you may see seals, sea lions, and dolphins, and whales depending on the season. Binoculars are available on board.

Relax with beer and snacks

Beer, hard seltzer, soft drinks, bottled and sparkling water, and packaged snacks are served throughout the sail. Blankets are available for when it gets chilly on the water, and there is a restroom on board.
