From Brisbane: Moreton Island Desert Safari Day Trip

Cruise from Brisbane
to Tangalooma on Moreton Island

Depart from Holt Street Wharf, about 10 minutes from Brisbane city, and cruise across Moreton Bay, arriving directly at the resort jetty in about 75 minutes. You may spot dolphins or whales on the way, and one drink is provided on board.

On the island, your resort day pass gives you all-day access to the pools, beach, bars, restaurants, convenience store, showers, change rooms, lockers and phone charging facilities.

Head to the desert by 4WD bus and go sand tobogganing

Board a 4WD bus and travel along bushland tracks to the island's desert area. Once there, slide down tall sand dunes on a sand toboggan. This fun experience is suitable for all ages.

Have lunch with your voucher and relax at the resort

Use your lunch voucher (worth $25 per adult and $20 per child) at resort eateries for burgers, pizza, pasta, salads, nachos and more. Relax by the pool, enjoy a drink at the bar, or explore the beach and tropical gardens.

You can join the eco ranger experience and, depending on the schedule, wildlife talks and encounters at the Eco Centre.

Watch the dolphin video and return to Brisbane

At 3:15 PM, watch the "Discover the World of Dolphins" video at the Eco Centre and learn about the wild dolphins that visit the shore every evening around sunset. Then take the 4:00 PM ferry from the island, arriving in Brisbane around 5:15 PM.

※ Wildlife such as dolphins and whales cannot be guaranteed during the cruise. Dolphin feeding is not included in this tour.
※ In wet weather, the desert safari runs as a sightseeing tour visiting the Tangalooma Wrecks.
