Meet your expert instructor at the Paradise Centre location at the end of Cavill Avenue, change into a rash vest or wetsuit and get the right board for your session. Then head to the golden sands of Surfers Paradise, one of Australia's most iconic beaches, to start your lesson.

Get comfortable in the waves after a safety briefing

The lesson begins with a safety briefing and the essential skills to feel comfortable in the water. Then wade into waist-deep water and let the incoming waves carry your board for your first ride.

Stand up on the board with your instructor

Once you have a feel for the waves, return to the sand to learn how to pop up. Back in the water, your instructor stays by your side to help you stand and ride the waves. You will learn safety, positioning and board control while building your wave-catching skills.

Choose from a 2-hour small-group surf experience ideal for first-timers, a 3-lesson beginner course (2 hours each) with an online theory module, or a 1.5-hour private lesson with 1:1 coaching tailored to any skill level.
