Program
Head to the Atherton Tablelands at dawn
and watch the balloon inflate
Travel about 2 hours from your Cairns hotel to the launch site in the Atherton Tablelands on an air-conditioned coach. Arrive before sunrise to watch the impressive sight of the balloon being inflated. Fully inflated, the balloon rises higher than a 10-story building.
Fly into the sunrise with an experienced pilot
Once the balloon is ready, climb into the basket with your experienced pilot. Drift peacefully over rainforest-covered hills and mountains against the backdrop of the rising sun and breathe in the fresh air.
Admire open views of the Atherton Tablelands on one side and the coast toward the Great Barrier Reef on the other. Commentary is provided during the flight.
Pack up the balloon together after landing
and celebrate with sparkling wine
Your pilot gently guides the balloon to the landing site. After landing, join in the fun pack-up game as everyone folds the balloon together and takes more photos. Chat with the pilot and ground crew, celebrate the flight with a glass of sparkling wine or juice, and receive a certificate signed by the pilot.
After refreshments, ride the coach for about 1 hour back to your hotel in Cairns.
