at a Family Winery in Gertwiller
Opened in Gertwiller in 1958, Domaine Schneider is a winery run by a wine-growing family who tends to over 10 hectares of organic vineyards. Host Marie-Joëlle welcomes you to the family wine cellar.
Hear the Vineyard's Story on a Guided Tour
Spend about 30 minutes touring the winery as you learn about the history of the vineyard, the secrets of the terroir, and the eco-friendly philosophy that guides every step of production. You'll also be introduced to Alsace's 7 iconic grape varieties: Sylvaner, Muscat, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Gewurztraminer.
Enjoy 4 Wines and a Wine Grower's Snack
After the tour, taste 4 selected wines from the winery (2 cl per wine). It is served with a generous snack plate of charcuterie and cheese sourced from nearby farms. After the tasting, you can also purchase your favorite wines at the wine shop.
