The tour departs 1 hour 45 minutes before sunrise. Board an air-conditioned coach at your Ayers Rock Resort pickup point and take a short drive to a desert area overlooking Uluru. From an exclusive desert dune, your driver-guide introduces the background and story of the art installation.

Wander among 50,000 glowing spheres

Explore the Field of Light, an immersive art installation of 50,000 solar-powered stems and frosted-glass spheres resembling a glowing field of flowers. Walk the paths among the spheres as soft, shifting colors light up the dark desert.

Watch the Uluru sunrise from the dune-top viewing area

Climb to the dune-top viewing area and enjoy tea, coffee or hot chocolate as the desert awakens. As the sun rises behind Uluru, the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, fills with light, while the Field of Light slowly fades in the natural daylight. Take photos from this unique vantage point with views of both Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
