After an early-morning pickup from your hotel in Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort), travel by air-conditioned coach to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. From the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku sunrise viewing area, you can see both Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the distance, making it an ideal spot for photos.

While you enjoy hot tea or coffee and watch the first rays of sunlight brighten the Red Centre, your guide gives an overview of the national park, where Aboriginal people have lived for 22,000 years.

Meet the 348-meter-high Uluru

Come face to face with Uluru, the 348-meter-high icon of Australia. With your guide's commentary, feel its sheer size, presence, and deep spiritual significance.

Stop at the Kata Tjuta lookout
and walk through Walpa Gorge

Head west of Uluru to take in the scenery of Kata Tjuta, also known as Mount Olga. Make a short stop at a lookout with sweeping views of Kata Tjuta for photos.

Next, walk through Walpa Gorge, a desert refuge for plants and animals. Follow a rocky but not steep trail past rare plants and the evergreen shrubs known as spearwood, and learn about the local flora and fauna and the geology of the rock formations. At the end of the tour, return to Yulara by coach.
