From Yulara: Uluru Base Walk Sunrise Guided Trek - Small Group

Start a dawn trek
at the base of Uluru before sunrise

Your guide picks you up from your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort about 1 hour before sunrise, and you head to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in a comfortable vehicle seating up to 15. As you begin walking at the base of Uluru, the massive monolith rises before you in the dawn light.

Move to a perfect spot to watch the sunrise and see the entire landscape transform under the first rays of light. Throughout the walk, your guide shares everything about Uluru, from its flora and fauna and geology to Aboriginal culture and history.

Follow the Kuniya Walk
to Mutitjulu Waterhole

Continue along the trail to visit waterholes and rock art sites and learn about the cultural significance of Uluru to the Anangu people. On the Kuniya Walk leading to beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole, hear the Tjukurpa story of Liru and Kuniya.

Enjoy a picnic breakfast and walk
the Mala Walk to Kantju Gorge

Take a break along the way to enjoy an outback picnic breakfast in a portable pack with tea and coffee. On the Mala Walk leading to Kantju Gorge, hear the stories of the Mala people. After returning to the starting point, your guide drops you back at your accommodation in Ayers Rock Resort.
