Walk around the base of Uluru
and watch a stunning sunset
The tour starts right after pickup at Ayers Rock Airport or Yulara Resort. First, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn about the history, stories and cultural significance of the land, then walk around Uluru with your guide.
Your guide shares stories of ancient rock art, the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole, and Kuniya the python and Liru the venomous snake. You also visit Kantju Gorge, where a waterfall flows depending on the season and rainfall, and a sacred cave once used by local Aboriginal people as a natural pantry. After taking time to enjoy the sunset over Uluru, have a bush tucker dinner and spend the night at the campground.
Watch the sunrise and
trek the gorges of Kata Tjuta

On day 2, wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Then head to the domes of Kata Tjuta (Mount Olga) and trek through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, seeing the huge conglomerate rock formations up close. After a quick stop at camp for a meal, travel to the Kings Canyon area, where you can enjoy another Outback sunset.
Enjoy a campfire dinner
at the Kings Canyon bush camp

End the day with a traditional campfire dinner at a remote private bush camp near Kings Canyon. The camp was built in partnership with the Wanmarra community to support local First Nations people.
Walk the Kings Canyon Rim and
return to Alice Springs or Yulara

On day 3, set off early for Kings Canyon, with its dramatic 100-meter cliffs and sandstone formations. Walk the Rim Walk in Watarrka National Park for panoramic views while your guide explains the canyon's ancient geology, flora and fauna.
If you return to Alice Springs, you travel via the main highway or, when conditions allow, the scenic Mereenie Loop or Ernest Giles Road, arriving between 6:00 and 6:30 PM. If you return to Yulara, a shuttle from Kings Canyon arrives at around 4:30-5:00 PM.
