From Alice Springs: Uluru & Kata Tjuta 2-Day Camping Tour

Leave Alice Springs for
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

Depart Alice Springs and head south through desert landscapes. On the way, your guide shares stories about the region's history, geology, wildlife and Aboriginal heritage. After lunch at camp, continue to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Walk the base of Uluru
and watch the sunset

At the Cultural Centre, learn about the traditions and stories of the Anangu, the traditional owners of the land, then join a guided walk along the base of Uluru to see ancient rock art, sacred stories and geological formations. Visit Mutitjulu Waterhole, Kuniya Piti and Kantju Gorge and learn about their spiritual significance. In the evening, watch Uluru change color at sunset, then return to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening under clear night skies.

See the sunrise and
walk the gorges of Kata Tjuta

On day 2, rise early to watch the first light of dawn on Uluru and Kata Tjuta. After breakfast, head to Kata Tjuta (Mount Olga) and, depending on conditions, walk Walpa Gorge or the Valley of the Winds with your guide to see rock formations, native plants and panoramic views. After lunch, the tour ends in Yulara (Ayers Rock).
