Highlights
This 2-day camping tour departs from Yulara (Ayers Rock) and explores Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Walk through the gorges between the domes of Kata Tjuta with your guide, and see both sunset and sunrise at Uluru. At night, you stay in a permanent twin safari tent with a bed, bedding, lighting and a fan for comfortable camping. On day 2, hear about Anangu rock art and creation stories, walk the Uluru Base Walk at your own pace and return to Yulara around noon.

Walk the gorges of Kata Tjuta and
watch the Uluru sunset
After pickup in Yulara or at Uluru (Ayers Rock) Airport between 1:15 PM and 2:00 PM, head to your first stop, Kata Tjuta (Mount Olga). Walk through wide valleys and winding gorges with your guide and take in the dome landscape. In the evening, enjoy light snacks as the setting sun casts a range of earthy colors over Uluru.
Spend the night under the stars
at a safari tent camp
Back at camp, end the day with dinner with your group. On clear nights you can sit outside under the stars, and you sleep in a permanent twin tent with a bed, bedding, pillow, towel, lighting and a fan.
See sunrise at Uluru and
walk the Base Walk at your own pace
The next day, set off early to watch the sunrise light up Uluru. Your guide takes you to one of Uluru's important cultural sites, explains Anangu rock art and shares one of its creation stories, and then you are free to walk the full Uluru Base Walk on your own in the fresh morning air. The tour ends with your return to Yulara at around noon.

A free airport shuttle runs from the airport to the Desert Gardens Hotel with no booking required. If your flight arrives between 1:00 PM and 1:40 PM, meet at Ayers Rock Airport at 2:00 PM. Please check the voucher provided after confirmation for the exact pickup location and time.
