Walk the Walpa Gorge trail

After pickup from your accommodation in Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort), travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. First admire the 36 domed rock formations of Kata Tjuta, then walk the Walpa Gorge trail (about 1 hour, 2.6 km) between towering cliffs.

As you follow the rugged path, your guide tells stories about the land, its geology, and its cultural significance, and you can spot unique desert plants and animals in the peaceful gorge.

Learn about Anangu culture
at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre

Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to gain a deeper understanding of Anangu culture, including Tjukurpa, traditional law, and the spiritual connection between the land and its Traditional Owners. Browse informative displays and locally made art, and learn about ongoing efforts to preserve and respect this World Heritage-listed area. You are free to have lunch here (at your own expense).

Explore sacred sites at the base
of Uluru on the Kuniya Walk

End the tour with the Kuniya Walk, about 1 km on a flat path along the base of Uluru. Visit Mutitjulu Waterhole, ancient rock art, and sacred sites as you hear the hidden stories of Uluru. Afterward, return to Yulara by vehicle.
