Highlights
Jump from a plane above Wanaka with an experienced tandem master on this tandem skydive. Choose from 2,743 m, 3,657 m or 4,572 m and free fall at around 200 km/h for 25 to 60 seconds. During the roughly 20-minute climb, look out over the Southern Alps, Mount Cook (Aoraki), Mount Aspiring, several lakes and the Clutha River. After the parachute opens, fly over the Central Otago landscape for about 5 minutes as you glide down to the landing area.
Program
Get briefed and gear up
with your tandem master
The experience begins as soon as you arrive at the drop zone and meet the on-site team. After a full briefing, put on your safety gear, including jump suit, skydiving cap, goggles and gloves, and meet the tandem instructor you will jump with.
Climb over the Southern Alps for about 20 minutes
Board the plane and climb for about 20 minutes to your chosen altitude. Along the way, your instructor points out Mount Cook (Aoraki), Mount Aspiring, the Southern Alps, several lakes and the Clutha River.
Free fall at 200 km/h
Once you reach your chosen altitude, jump out over the Central Otago landscape and free fall at around 200 km/h for 25 to 60 seconds. Then the parachute opens for a ride of about 5 minutes as you glide gently down to the landing area.
Check out your video and photos after landing
Back on the ground, return to the hangar and take off your gear. If you purchased a photo and video package, wait for your edited video and photos to be ready, and use the drop zone's internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi.
※ The views from the sky may vary depending on the weather.
※ Photo and video packages are not included and can be purchased at check-in.
