From Christchurch: Edoras Lord of the Rings Location Day Tour - Lunch Included

The guided tour was perfect! The scenery was fabulous. As for the climb, you need to be prepared for a steep but short ascent. The view is well worth it. You should go at your own pace and the climb will be easy. The meal was good and filling, and our guide was very interesting. I highly recommend it during your stay in Christchurch.

It was a very small group, almost a private tour. The guide, Cheryl, was very knowledgeable and had plenty of stories to tell about LOTR and Christchurch in general. The climb up to Edoras was, well... you knew you'd gone up a hill! Walking poles (and LOTR props) were available.

Really good, well organised. Great to see the inspiration for the story. Movie props were a great fun bonus!

We really enjoyed our day Tour to Edoras or Mt Sunday! However, thinking back on it we realised that the 1st stop of 30min was slightly dissapointing. As a Lord of Rings themed Tour stopping 30min in Mount Somers Village where there is no connections to the making of the Trilogy instead of Methven where some cast members stayed during the filming was a bit disapointing. So it actually makes the overall price quite expensive because of that! Anyways, the scenery in Mt Sunday was incredible, a childhood dream come true! And Peter was an amazing guide all the way and back again! Thanks heaps!

Cjeyerl was fantastic giving historical perspoective on the Lord of the Ring She took us ona side trip to a gorge off course that was Stunning. Tour company has special access to Mt. Sunday to make the climb a little shorter.
