The Te Pō Combo is an evening experience at Te Puia in Whakarewarewa, Rotorua. Meet at the Te Puia entry/arrival area at 20 Hemo Road, then enjoy a guided tour (about 1.5 hours), dinner (about 1.5 hours), a cultural performance (about 45 minutes) and a geyser walk (about 30 minutes). The experience ends at the same location.

Explore the geothermal valley with a guide

Begin the evening with a guided tour of the entire geothermal valley. Walk through a landscape of native bush, geysers and mud pools and feel the natural power of Pōhutu Geyser. The tour also visits the Kiwi Conservation Centre and the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, where you can learn about Māori culture.

Enjoy a hāngī buffet at Pātaka Kai Restaurant

Enjoy a dinner buffet at Pātaka Kai Restaurant & Bar, overlooking the geothermal area. The buffet features fresh produce, meat and vegetables cooked the traditional way, kai moana (seafood) and desserts.

Watch the haka and end the night on the geyser terrace

In the beautifully carved meeting house Te Aronui a Rua, watch a cultural performance of pōwhiri (traditional Māori welcome ceremony), waiata (songs), mōteatea (chants), poi and haka. After the show, walk to the geysers and enjoy hot chocolate while taking in the night view of the geothermal area.
