This guided tour takes you on a walk of about 75 minutes after dark to hear chilling stories of ghosts, graveyards, hangings and hauntings from Toronto's early days. Choose one of four seasonal tours; the meeting point and route differ by option. After the tour, your guide either leads you back to the starting point or leaves you to enjoy your night in the city.
Follow ghost stories through the Old Town financial district
The "Original Haunted Toronto Walking Tour" starts in the forecourt of the Hockey Hall of Fame and walks into the heart of the financial district in the Old Town. Hear about the dark side of Toronto's history, including haunted theaters, unsolved mysteries and the eerie hauntings of Mackenzie House. Admission to Mackenzie House is not included.
Uncover the secrets of the University of Toronto campus
"Campus Secrets and Spirits" explores the grand architecture and tree-lined paths of the University of Toronto's downtown campus, full of dark history and ghost stories. Your guide leads you across the haunted campus and around the Ontario Legislative Assembly.
Also meet in the Distillery District and Black Creek Village
On "Spirits of the Distillery," hear stories of gruesome accidents, the world of whisky distilling and the War of 1812, and find out why this area is known as one of Toronto's haunted places. "Ghosts of Black Creek Village" starts at the visitor centre of Black Creek Pioneer Village in North York.
