This hike was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Seoul 👌🏻 I couldn't have chosen a better way to spend my day. Min is an incredible host, caring, attentive, fun and thoughtful. The hike itself is absolutely gorgeous with incredible views and challenging enough to make making it to the top even more special. You can tell that this is a real hidden gem as we only encountered locals on the way. The lunch at the end is the cherry on top, delicious homemade authentic Korean food 🙌🏻 I couldn't recommend it enough 💯

Petite randonnée sur les hauteurs de Séoul. Je dirais d’un niveau simple et moyen par moment… la guide est superbe et te motive tout le long merci beaucoup à Min !!! Les paysages sont magnifique j’ai adoré. Nous avons mangé dans un petit restaurant local c’était très bon et généreux merci à la dame pour son accueil et sa générosité ! Je recommande !

This tour was nothing short of awesome with Min! It wasn't just the hike but the amount of effort she put into customising the tour because my lack of hiking ability haha and also due to some transport changes due to a certain large concert in Seoul... And her helpfulness went beyond that, even helping me sort out some locker issues and taking time to suggest some food options. Great way to spend the day. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys not only the hiking but also great conversations. 😊 Thanks Min for a fabulous time!

Program

Meet at Gupabal Station and
head out on Bukhansan's hidden trails

Meet your guide at Gupabal Station and ride the bus for about 20 minutes to Bukhansan National Park. Instead of the busiest trails, you follow the quiet Sumeunbyeok route favored by local hikers, through peaceful forest paths and along scenic ridges. The hike lasts about 3 hours.

Take in granite peaks from a viewpoint at about 780 m

At the viewpoint, majestic granite peaks rise around you and mountain ridges stretch into the distance. The trail includes uphill and rocky sections, so this is a proper hike rather than a light walk. The group moves at its own pace with plenty of time for breaks and photos.

Along the way, your guide shares stories about the mountain, Seoul and everyday Korean life, with lots of time to chat. The descent follows a quieter valley trail, and if the stream is flowing, you stop by the water for a short rest.

Enjoy a Korean home-style lunch at a grandmother's restaurant

After the hike, have lunch for about 1 hour at a small local restaurant run by a Korean grandmother. No tourist menu here, just hearty home-style Korean food, warm soup and simple side dishes, served with makgeolli. After lunch, ride the bus for about 20 minutes back to Gupabal Station, where the tour ends.
