This half-day tour departs from Uehara Port on Iriomote Island and takes you to Pinaisara Falls, known as the tallest waterfall in Okinawa. Paddle a kayak through dense mangrove forest, then take a short jungle trek to the waterfall basin. Swim and relax beneath the falls, and try a small, safe rock jump into the water. Groups are limited to 7 participants, and the operator handles the entry permit for the protected national park area on your behalf.

Meet at Uehara Port
and head for Pinaisara Falls
Meet your guide at Uehara Port on Iriomote Island and ride a van for about 10 minutes to the kayak starting point. Pinaisara Falls lies within a protected national park area, so a certified guide must accompany visitors and daily visitors are limited to 200. The operator takes care of the required advance entry permit for you.
Kayak through the mangrove forest

Paddle for about 40 minutes through the lush mangrove forest. Kayak equipment is included, and your guide gives simple, attentive instructions in English or Japanese.
Trek through the jungle and swim at the falls

After leaving the kayaks, walk through the jungle for about 20 minutes to reach the Pinaisara Falls basin. Spend about 45 minutes taking photos, swimming in the cool water and relaxing. You can also enjoy a small, safe jump from the rocks into the water.
Return the same way and finish at Uehara Port

Trek back for about 20 minutes and kayak for 40 minutes, then return to Uehara Port by van to end the tour. The whole tour takes about 3 hours 30 minutes.
