They not only know the beautiful spots but also have the expertise to find mantas, making it ideal for those who want a proper manta encounter. The boat ride itself is a highlight. Our 24-seater eco-boat minimizes engine odor, and the thoughtful composition considers the extended time spent on the sea, making even a full-day tour comfortable. After the tour, we'll transfer your GoPro data back at the port. It’s easy to get caught up in the moment at sea, and having those memories recorded significantly enhances your travel satisfaction. *Please note that a Korean-speaking guide is not on board. Communication will primarily be in Japanese and English, with the use of translation apps.

Meet Mantas at Kabira Bay Manta Scramble

The highlight of the tour is the Manta Scramble (Kabira Bay). This area is known as a prime manta point where the world's largest rays, manta rays, are frequently sighted. With warm currents rich in plankton and cleaning stations where mantas groom themselves, it provides an ideal habitat for mantas year-round. Despite their massive size, with wingspans reaching 4-5 meters, manta rays are gentle and can be safely observed swimming alongside you. If you're lucky, you might even witness a manta train, with multiple mantas swimming in a spiral. *The average manta sighting probability is around 70%, which is very high. However, as they are wild animals, a 100% guarantee is not possible.

Enjoy Coral Reef Spots Too

This tour isn't just about seeing mantas; you'll also spend time at Ishigaki's coral reef snorkeling spots. The waters around Ishigaki are home to over 70 species of coral, forming vibrant colonies. You can observe colorful corals like brain coral, table coral, and branching coral, as well as tropical fish up close. Snorkeling is possible even in shallow waters, making it popular with children and beginner snorkelers.

Tour Course at a Glance

Safety instructions and basic training are included for first-timers. Guides, including an English-speaking tour leader and underwater guides, provide close supervision. Snorkeling is operated in small groups of 2-6 people for enhanced safety, with the number of guides adjusted based on the age and swimming ability of the participants.

Full-Day Tour
Runs from 08:30 to 16:00 (approx. 7.5 hours). The itinerary includes morning manta and coral reef spots, followed by afternoon spots after lunch, allowing for ample time to search for mantas. Hotel pick-up/drop-off is available via a shared 10-seater minivan.
Half-Day Tour
Choose between 08:30-12:00 or 12:30-16:00 (approx. 3.5 hours). This option is perfect for a concise experience focusing on the core manta and coral reef spots. However, lunch, pick-up/drop-off, and the free shower service are not included, so you'll need to manage the rest of your schedule independently.
