From wetland to the first public
art museum in southern Taiwan

The museum is located in Gushan District, Kaohsiung, on the northeastern side of Shoushan. The area was once full of ponds and wetlands known as the Neiweipi Wetland, and after becoming the first public art museum in southern Taiwan, it grew into the region's hub for art exhibitions and promotion.
Discover emerging artists and international exhibitions

In 2017, the museum was reorganized as a municipal cultural institution under the Kaohsiung City Government, and it continues to collect works by Taiwanese artists and nurture local culture. Every year it supports emerging artists through events such as the "Kaohsiung Awards" and "KS Kaohsiung Experimental Field", and it also presents large-scale international exhibitions in collaboration with museums around the world.
