Discover Odawara Castle's history in the main keep
and climb to the top-floor observation deck

Exhibition rooms on the 1st to 4th floors of the keep introduce the history of Odawara Castle from the Edo period to today. From the top-floor observation deck, about 60 m above sea level, Sagami Bay spreads out before you, and on clear days you can even see Izu Oshima and the Boso Peninsula.

See armor and Japanese swords at the Tokiwagi-mon SAMURAI Hall

About a 2-minute walk from the keep, the Tokiwagi-mon SAMURAI Hall exhibits Japanese swords and armor and runs a projection mapping theater. Look at the pride and sense of beauty of the samurai expressed in the shape of their armor, and watch a film in which the samurai spirit seems to come alive in the armor.

Stroll through Odawara Castle Park and its seasonal flowers and trees

Odawara Castle Park offers flowers and trees all year round, including cherry blossoms, wisteria, irises and plums, and some trees are over 500 years old. At Tokiwagi-mon there is a booth where you can try on armor or an uchikake robe, and on weekends you can try shuriken throwing at Honmaru Square.
