After pickup from your hotel in Bishkek, make a short stop at Burana Tower, a ruin from the Silk Road era. Among the ancient balbal stones, your guide tells you the story of the lost city of Balasagun.

Ride a 4WD up to the pastures of Song-Kul Lake

Leave the main road and travel along scenic mountain roads by 4WD. After a short stop at the turquoise Orto-Tokoy Reservoir hidden in the mountains, climb up to the high-altitude summer pastures (jailoo) of Song-Kul Lake.

Spend a night in a family-run yurt camp

In the evening, arrive at a family-run yurt camp and relax by the lake. Enjoy a homemade dinner such as beshbarmak with your host family, then gather around the campfire to share stories and listen to local music under the stars.

Ride across the pastures and return via the Boom Gorge

On day 2, after breakfast with the family, learn horseback riding from a local expert and ride across the endless pastures. On the way back, stop in Kochkor village for a traditional meal with a local family, then pass through the Boom Gorge and return to Bishkek.
