Highlights
Paddle across the clear waters of Xiaoliuqiu, a small island off Pingtung in Taiwan, with a professional instructor. Choose between a standard canoe and a transparent canoe, and enjoy the underwater scenery without getting in the water. The experience lasts about 100 minutes including a pre-departure briefing and dress guidance, and with a bit of luck you may even spot sea turtles. Weather permitting, you will receive a free set of aerial photos taken from various angles (not available on sunrise sessions).
Program
Kayak the seas of Xiaoliuqiu with a professional instructor
Gather at the meeting point, Whaletaildo Ocean Club (鯨緯渡海洋俱樂部), for your booked session and receive a pre-departure briefing and dress guidance. The experience lasts about 100 minutes, and a professional instructor stays with you from start to finish. Life jackets and other equipment are provided, so there is no need to bring your own.
Look into the sea from a transparent canoe
With the transparent canoe option, you can view the underwater world through the clear bottom without diving in. Drift leisurely over Xiaoliuqiu's clear waters in the sea breeze, and if you are lucky, you may meet sea turtles.
Capture memories with aerial photos
Weather permitting, you will receive a free set of aerial photos taken from various angles. The instructor also takes photos during the activity. Free aerial photography is not included on sunrise sessions.
Enjoy snorkeling too, depending on the session
Free snorkeling is included on the daily 5:00 AM weekday session and regular sessions (8:00 AM–4:00 PM). Free snorkeling is not offered on the 5:00 PM session on public holidays. For sunrise sessions, the meeting time is around 4–5 AM in summer and 5–6 AM in winter, and the exact time will be sent the evening before.
