From Hurghada: Luxor Sunrise Hot Air Balloon & Valley of the Kings Small-Group Day Tour

Leave Hurghada at night
and fly over Luxor by hot air balloon

You will be picked up from your Hurghada hotel between 11:00 and 11:30 PM the night before the tour and travel about 4 hours by air-conditioned vehicle, arriving in Luxor early in the morning. After traditional Egyptian tea at a local cafe, board the balloon around sunrise and glide quietly over Luxor's ancient temples, royal tombs and the Nile Valley.

Explore the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut on the West Bank

After the flight, cross to the West Bank and visit three pharaonic tombs decorated with hieroglyphs and royal funerary art in the Valley of the Kings with your Egyptologist guide. Then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, built against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon, the giant statues that once guarded the temple of Amenhotep III.

Enjoy an Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. Drinks are not included.

Sail on the Nile by felucca

Board a traditional felucca sailboat and sail along the Nile while sipping Egyptian tea, watching local life unfold along the riverbanks.

Visit Karnak Temple on the East Bank and return to Hurghada

In the afternoon, explore the Karnak Temple complex dedicated to the gods of Thebes and walk among its forest of giant columns. After the tour, drive about 4 hours back to your Hurghada hotel, arriving in the evening.
