Highlights
This small-group tour departs from hotels in central Chongqing and spends a full day exploring Wulong, a core area of the UNESCO World Heritage site "South China Karst". Walk through the gorge of the Three Natural Bridges, where Tianlong, Qinglong and Heilong bridges rise more than 100 m above the ground, and explore Longshuixia Gorge, a narrow rock crevice lined with waterfalls and streams. Depending on your option, you can also visit Furong Cave, filled with all kinds of stalactites, or Fairy Mountain, known as the "Switzerland of the East". Groups are limited to 8 people, and an English-speaking guide explains how Wulong's karst landscape was formed.

In the morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Chongqing or from the airport or a train station, then drive about 3 hours to Wulong. This is a shared small-group tour of up to 8 people, accompanied by an English-speaking guide. You walk about 8 km over the day while exploring gorges and caves.
Descend to the floor of the Three Natural Bridges gorge
At the Three Natural Bridges, the giant stone arches of Tianlong, Qinglong and Heilong span a collapsed valley. Each arch rises more than 100 m above the ground, and as you follow the trail down into the sinkhole, a gorge surrounded by vertical cliffs and moss-covered limestone walls opens up. The site has also appeared as a backdrop in international films, and you explore it with your guide for about 1.5 hours.
Walk through the narrow Longshuixia Gorge
Longshuixia Gorge is a narrow canyon carved through thick limestone by an underground river. The rock walls rise almost vertically on both sides, so the sky overhead looks like a thin ribbon. Follow stairs and walkways past clear streams and small waterfalls for about 1.5 hours while your guide explains how the gorge was formed by tectonic uplift and erosion.
Visit Furong Cave or Fairy Mountain, depending on your option
Options including Furong Cave visit the cave on the banks of the Furong River for about 1 hour. The main passage is about 2,700 m long with a scenic walkway of about 1,860 m, and you can see around 70 types of cave formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns and flowstone. Options including Fairy Mountain visit Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, known as the "Switzerland of the East". Afterwards, drive about 3 hours back and finish near Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street in Chongqing.
