Starting from Yogyakarta or Bali, this 3-day, 2-night trip visits Probolinggo, Mount Bromo, Banyuwangi and Ijen Crater. An English-speaking driver and a hiking guide accompany you, and transportation, 2 nights of accommodation with breakfast and entrance tickets for Bromo and Ijen are included.

Watch the sunrise over Mount Bromo by jeep

Ride a 4WD jeep to a Mount Bromo sunrise spot and watch the sun rise above the clouds from a panoramic viewpoint or the Bromo crater. The guided visit also includes a local snack.

Look for the blue fire at Ijen Crater

After Bromo, transfer to Banyuwangi and rest at your accommodation. Then hike up to Ijen Crater at night with a hiking guide and, if conditions allow, see the blue flames burning in the crater. A gas mask and flashlight are provided, and you can also watch the sunrise at the crater.

Choose your accommodation and drop-off

The budget group stays in clean local homestays or dormitories, while the standard group stays in 3 to 4-star hotels with private bathrooms. Rooms are shared by 2 people, and solo travelers share with a participant of the same gender.

Options from Yogyakarta travel to East Java by train, and options from Bali cross to Java by ferry. At the end of the tour you are dropped off in Bali (Ubud, Kuta, Denpasar, etc.) or in Surabaya or Yogyakarta, depending on your option.
