Highlights
This is an admission ticket to watch "Akan Yukar Lost Kamuy" at the Akanko Ainu Theater "Ikor" in Akanko Onsen, eastern Hokkaido. The work combines Ainu ancient ceremonial dance with contemporary dance and digital art, and is inspired by the extinct Ezo wolf. Five projectors, 3DCG and 7.1ch surround sound create a three-dimensional stage, letting you experience in an indoor theater the world view of the Ainu, who have respected and lived in harmony with nature. The performance is held every day from 21:00 for about 30 minutes.

The Akanko Ainu Theater "Ikor", whose name means "treasure" in the Ainu language, is an indoor theater and a hub for sharing Ainu culture. "Akan Yukar Lost Kamuy" is a performance that combines Ainu ancient ceremonial dance, contemporary dance and digital art, inspired by the extinct Ezo wolf. It is a new work of art that adds fresh elements of music and contemporary dance to the refined ancient ceremonial dance.
A fantastic space created by five projectors and surround sound
Ancient ceremonial dance, contemporary dance, 3DCG and 7.1ch surround sound are combined, and five projectors turn the stage into a three-dimensional space. The sound was produced by Nobu Saito and Kuniyuki Takahashi, the choreography by Kenta Kojiri, and creators of photography and digital art such as UNO, WOW and Daisuke Sakamoto (JTB Communication Design) also took part.
Visit the theater for the 21:00 performance
Lost Kamuy is performed every day from 21:00 for about 30 minutes. On the day of your visit, show the QR code to the staff at the ticket exchange counter of the theater and enter.
