The tour starts at the Welcome Monument in the middle of the Hotel Indonesia roundabout fountain. Pass Merdeka Square, the Presidential Palace and the Arjuna Wijaya statue, then explore the outside of the National Monument (Monas), which glows in bright colors at night. Next, visit Istiqlal Mosque and the neo-Gothic Catholic Cathedral across from it.
