Meet at the main entrance of Sarinah Mall at 6:30 PM for a group food tour of about 4 hours, traveling between South and Central Jakarta by MRT (metro) to taste popular eateries and street food. An English-speaking guide accompanies you, and metro tickets and one dinner are included. The tour ends back at Sarinah at around 10 PM.

Take the MRT to South Jakarta

Ride the MRT from Sarinah for about 15 minutes to South Jakarta. Walk the neighborhood with your guide for about an hour exploring street food stalls, then spend about 30 minutes tasting food.

Enjoy local snacks and street food
in Central Jakarta

Take the MRT again for about 15 minutes to Central Jakarta. For about 1.5 hours, taste street food and local snacks and learn about Jakarta's popular snacks and drinks. You can also buy extra food yourself if you like.

Eat like a local
and learn about Indonesian food

While eating local style, see how food is prepared and experience the flavors of the many spices used in Indonesian cooking. For dinner, choose one of soto ayam, five pieces of sate ayam or nasi goreng on site with your guide. Food preferences such as vegetarian or vegan can be requested in advance.
