Program
A small-group tour of Krabi's forests,
hot springs and temple in one day
Depart from your hotel in Ao Nang or Krabi, or from the meeting point, and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle. With an English-speaking guide, you visit the Emerald Pool, the Blue Pool, the hot springs and the Tiger Cave Temple in turn, and you are dropped off at your accommodation or McDonald's Ao Nang at the end. The tour lasts about 9 to 9.5 hours.
Swim in the Emerald Pool and see the Blue Pool
Your first stop is the Emerald Pool in the middle of a lush forest. Beat the morning heat with about 1 hour of swimming in the clear, blue-tinted natural mineral pool.
Then follow the forest trail to the Blue Pool (Blue Lagoon). See the blue pond surrounded by large trees with roots stretching over the water, and take photos.
Relax at the hot spring waterfalls after lunch
After lunch time at a local restaurant, head to the Krabi Hot Springs. Soak in the hot spring waterfalls with warm flowing water and relax for about 2 hours.
Climb the Tiger Cave Temple and look out over Krabi
The final stop is the Tiger Cave Temple, known locally as Wat Tham Suea. The climb to the hilltop temple can be a little tough because of the many stairs, but at the top you can see the shining Buddha statue and wide views over Krabi. Inside the cave, you can also see the tiger footprints that gave the temple its name.
