Highlights
This tour leaves Krabi by speedboat early in the morning to visit Phi Phi and Krabi's 4 Islands in one day, before the crowds arrive. Walk along Maya Bay, known as the filming location of The Beach, and swim and snorkel in Pileh Lagoon surrounded by limestone cliffs. After a Thai lunch buffet on Phi Phi Don, you stop at Bamboo Island, Chicken Island, Talay Waek where the sea parts, and Poda Island. You travel on a twin-engine speedboat with 30–40 seats, making it easy to visit many islands efficiently.
Program
Head to Phi Phi by speedboat
early in the morning before the crowds
Your day begins with an early-morning pickup from hotels in Krabi Town, Khlong Muang, Ao Nam Mao and Ao Nang. Have a light breakfast box before departure, then ride the speedboat about 20 minutes to Railay East Floating Pier to pick up some passengers, followed by about 40 minutes to Maya Bay.
Relax and swim at Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon
At Maya Bay, famous as the filming location of The Beach, stroll along the turquoise water or relax on the white sand. Next, swim and snorkel in Pileh Lagoon, surrounded by limestone cliffs. The boat passes Viking Cave, where you can spot swiftlet nests and paintings, and you view and photograph Monkey Bay, home to monkeys, from the boat (no landing).
Lunch buffet and snorkeling on Phi Phi Don
Arrive at Phi Phi Don around 11:00 AM and enjoy a Thai lunch buffet at Phi Phi Arida Restaurant. Various dietary options, including vegetarian, are available. From 12:30 PM, swim or snorkel off Phi Phi Don to see tropical fish and coral reefs. Then head to Bamboo Island to swim or relax for 45 minutes.
Visit Chicken Island, Talay Waek and Poda Island
Back at Krabi's 4 Islands, take photos at Chicken Island and stop at Talay Waek (the Separated Sea), where a sandbar appears between Koh Kai, Koh Tup and Koh Mor at low tide. Finally, relax and swim at Poda Island, the largest of the four with a long sandy beach, before returning to the pier and your hotel.
※ Maya Bay is closed every year for two months, August and September, by Thailand's national park authority.
