Depart from Dublin
for the Cliffs of Moher on the Atlantic coast
In the morning, board the coach at your meeting point in central Dublin. Drive about 2 hours across Ireland toward the west Atlantic coast, with a break at a rest stop along the way. During the drive, your guide tells stories about Irish history and culture in English.
See the fishing village of Kinvara and the limestone landscape of the Burren
Stop for photos at the traditional fishing village of Kinvara and Dunguaire Castle. Then drive along the limestone coast and the lunar-like landscape of the Burren. The Burren is known as a place where Arctic, Alpine and Mediterranean plants grow side by side, and depending on the season you can see a variety of wild orchids. Take a lunch break in Liscannor (lunch is at your own expense).
Gaze at the Atlantic and the Aran Islands from the Cliffs of Moher
At the Cliffs of Moher, take a short walk among the rocks and enjoy sweeping views of the Atlantic and the Aran Islands. You can also visit the Atlantic Edge exhibition and the visitor centre. The cliffs are also known as a filming location for the movies "The Princess Bride" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".
Stop at Bunratty Castle and return to Dublin
On the way back, stop for photos at the 15th-century Bunratty Castle. Then drive about 3 hours to arrive in Dublin around 8:00 PM.
