Board after check-in and safety briefing

Arrive at the departure point on the Nerang River waterfront in Surfers Paradise before your scheduled departure time and check in with the jetboat crew. Before boarding, there will be a safety briefing covering seating positions, how to hold the handrails, and the sequence of maneuvers during the ride. After putting on the required safety gear, sit in the open-air seats and feel the splash of water and the wide-open views.

Feel the thrill with 360-degree spins and fishtail slides

As soon as you depart, the boat accelerates on the Nerang River and the first stunts begin. The most popular moment is the 360-degree flat spin, where the boat spins rapidly in place, sending up circles of white water spray around the hull. This is followed by a series of fishtail slides, power slides, and full-speed sudden stops, with the driver boosting the atmosphere with each maneuver.

Later on, head out into the wide-open Gold Coast Broadwater for even faster stunts, before completing the final maneuvers and returning to the departure point.

Return to Surfers Paradise and continue your itinerary

At the end of the 40-minute session, disembark at the Surfers Paradise waterfront. You will usually step off completely soaked. Since the departure point is located in the downtown area, it is easy to combine this activity with visits to the beach, restaurant streets, and surrounding attractions.
