Once home to a Dutch fort, Bukit Melawati is now a peaceful hill overlooking the Strait of Malacca. Walk up to the Altingsburg Lighthouse, a symbol of the colonial era, and meet silver leaf monkeys, known for their silver fur and golden babies.
Enjoy a seafood set dinner by the river
After exploring the hill, enjoy a seafood set dinner with Chinese tea at a local restaurant. Popular dishes include cereal prawns, sweet and sour fish, Chinese fried rice, omelette and soy sauce chicken.
See eagles, fireflies and the Blue Tears from a boat
Cruise along the calm river and watch the eagle feeding, as Brahminy kites and white-bellied sea eagles soar and then dive to snatch food from the water.
At dusk, board an electric motor boat that glides quietly along the Selangor River through mangroves lit by fireflies. Finish the tour by watching the Blue Tears, bioluminescent plankton that make the water glow blue as the boat passes.
