Driver Indran was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Elephant sanctuary was good although some were kept in small enclosures alone and one seemed to have behaviour that indicates trauma and stress they constantly stood in same position just swinging and bobbing their head the whole time we were there. Batu caves were a good experience, lots of stairs to climb and few of the handrails were dangerously loose.

Both visits to Batu Caves and the elephant sanctuary are well worth a visit. Our guide John was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can buy bananas at Batu Caves and feed the monkeys also buy bananas and sugar cane to feed the elephants at the sanctuary which is good fun.

Our guide was Stan. We couldn’t ask for a better guide for our trip, whether we wanted to stop for a coffee (due to missing breakfast) or if we needed to get some crisps from a local shop along the way, he was excellent. I would recommend to all seeing the elephants, you can feed them with food items costing 5 ringgit for a handful of bananas or sugar canes. There is an option to bathe with the elephants but because of how close the feeding was I didn’t feel a need. Batu caves was perfect, once again Stan gave us good advice for those little monkeys. I would recommend this tour to all
