The day starts with pickup from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama. You travel by vehicle with an English- and Spanish-speaking guide, and enjoy breakfast before heading to Licancabur Volcano. The tour lasts about 7 hours.
See Licancabur Volcano and the Quepiaco Wetland
At the Licancabur Volcano viewpoint, admire the volcano's distinctive cone shape and take photos. Then stop at the Quepiaco Wetland, where you can see birds, ducks, flamingos, vicuñas, llamas and other animals.
Visit Monje de La Pacana and walk on a volcanic caldera
Visit Monje de La Pacana, a stone pillar 21 meters high, then walk on top of an ancient caldera surrounded by volcanoes and take in the sweeping views.
Visit the Aguas Calientes Salt Flat and the Black Lagoon
Visit the Aguas Calientes Salt Flat, Quisquiro and the Black Lagoon, and see the typical flora and fauna of the Andean highlands up close. After lunch, return to San Pedro de Atacama to end the tour.
